Bio
My name is Allison Vick. I was born and raised in Thomasville, ALabama. I am happily married to Jerry Vick. We just celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary in December. We have two kids. Benjamin is ten years old and a fourth grader at SWHS, and Lora Kate is 4 years old and attends the K-4 class at SWHS. Both of our kids complete our lives! We live in Fulton, Alabama. I am proud to say that my children are the 6th generation to live on this family land. We have two dogs, named Dory & Peppa. Dory has a gentle soul while Peppa loves to bounce everywhere!
I graduated from Thomasville High School in 1996. After finishing high school, I continued my schooling at Alabama Southern Community College (which is now known as Coastal Community College). I received my Associates in Science in 1998. I transferred to the University of Montevallo, and received my BS degree in Communication Science Disorders in 2000. I did not want to stop there, so I transferred to the University of Alabama where I received my certifications in early childhood education, elementary education, and special education from the Multiple Abilities Program. I began my teaching career in Tuscaloosa at Englewood Elementary. I taught there 8 years until my and I moved home to Clarke County. I taught 3 years in the Thomasville City Schools. This is my sixth year at Sweet Water High School. My family and I love it here! The school and the entire community are beyond loving and gracious to my entire family. I cannot wait to continue my career here with my family!
