I am a native of Thomasville, Alabama.  My husband and I have two children, Jack and Anna Madelyn who attend SWHS.  I met my husband in college, and after we graduated from Mississippi State University, he was commissioned as an officer in the Air Force.  He was on active duty for ten years. His commitment took us to Idaho, Arkansas, Texas, and Alaska. I taught junior high for four years in Texas, one year in Idaho, and one year at the University of Alaska in Anchorage.  We moved home in October of 2006 and I taught at Alabama Southern for one semester. I am thankful for the opportunity to work at SWHS. This will be my ninth year at Sweet Water High School. Because of our small size, I am so thankful I get to develop close relationships with my students.  Everyday I am challenged to be a better teacher by the students at SWHS.
