Bio
This is my 28th year in education. After graduating from Auburn University, I taught both 3rd and 4th grade in Georgia. After leaving Georgia, I moved to Louisiana where I taught 2nd, 4th, and 5th grades. Upon moving back to my home state, I taught kindergarten at Gillmore Elementary in Jackson, AL. Since then, I have been at SWHS where I've taught 4th grade and technology. I also served as both the elementary and high school guidance counselor. For the past 5 years, I have served as the Instructional Coach/Reading Specialist for grades K-12.
While living in Louisiana, I attended LSU where I received my Master's in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Reading.
I have two sons. Chase is a Junior at Auburn University, and Reed is a Senior at Sweet Water High School.
